The newest craze in Minecraft is using texture packs with really low resolution. Three pixels by three pixels was touted as the new standard in minimalist texture packs – the fact that they made everything pretty much indistinguishable from everything else being a petty irrelevance.
But r/minecraft user u/weeheehee has done the science on the issue and discovered that the lower limits of minecraft texture pack resolution should be 7×7 pixels. Hit the jump for a relevant infographic.
